After this photo, Shannon pretended to smell them like roses. I laughed pretty hard.

funny thing... when erin shows up things start to look really good.

for example, tonight/this morning/five minutes ago I just got home and looked around the kitchen a little bit.  before I knew it I realized that I felt really comfortable and at home in the kitchen...  and this, what is it - night 2 or 3?  without a fridge?

but erin showed up and put things everywhere.  and it all looks great.  expect some pictures

just a quick update

Welp.  Erin and I found an apartment.  I'm gonna be living in here until... sometime after we're married and we both come back from never land together.  Lord willing.

Curtain

We've been planning on hanging sheets up at our wedding. This really captures the feel I think we were thinking of. We prob won't be able to hang awesome lanterns like this, even though we've thought about it.

Colors and Styles

These will be the style bridesmaid dresses and these kinda sum up the wedding colors. It's just a rough draft. But the girls will all wear a maxi dress that is in an earthtone rainbow palette.

Because it will be November and because it will be at night and because it will be outside the girls can do whatever they want to be warm. Wear a shirt under the dress, wear a sweater, a coat, a scarf, boots.. It'll be so fun!!

Wedding Music

Adam and I have LOVED Viva La Vida the album. I personally think we should incorporate it into the wedding. I think it fits - it represents us - and it's great and catchy music. That said I really want the bridesmaids and me to walk down to this song:



It's long.. so I envision the song starting while all the party is lining up and as the song builds the people start coming and since it's so long I would just walk with it too..

Adam am I allowed to post these ideas? Or do we want things to be more of a surprise?

The Barnabas House

Here is our wedding location. We are SO thankful. Nice and simple/casual. And we are on the receiving end of ministry with this house. God really hooked this up for us and we give Him the credit for it but we're thankful to Art as well, who called us back they day he got home from vacation to let us know he was writing our wedding on the calendar and that the house was all ours to use. Seriously, thankful.

Yesterday, Adam walked across the street to take some pics of the place. That's right.. across the street. That's how close the location is. We have lots of ideas...

It's gonna be great!

Location!

We are confirmed for November 20, 2009 with The Barnabas House! This is it. We will use the backyard area. SOOOO excited. Now we have to pray for great weather.

P.S. I think this pic is pretty old. There are more bushes and such plus there is a little more side porch to the place and the yellow of the house is definitely more yellow than cream.

we're trying to get the barnabas house to host our wedding extravaganza. I might've miss-spelled that one.

we also had a really awesome time tonight with our pre-marital counselors. I wish tom could marry us.


I think there's either 70 or 69 more days left of our non-marriage-ness. that's crazy. CRAZY!

erin tried on a couple of great dresses recently, too... saturday we're going to ventura to look at some more dresses.. and we might be getting married out in fillmore. :)

Venue

Adam and I need a venue. We are pretty sure our wedding date is November 20. Friday night. We have to account for weather variations and are open to any suggestions..ideas.. We need it to be low priced or free or .. you know? Backyard, church, garden, front yard or something else. We really are open but need to get cracking and are hoping people will have input.

Anyone? Ideas? Leave comments.

So, no lie - I've got the marriage bug BAD.

I'm searching wedding dresses, thinking about how freaking stoked I am to be able to deisgn our own wedding invitations, and everything. Man. Yikes.
